On Friday 22nd Aug 2025, we held our first rehearsal after the summer break. There was a limited attendance, but we still managed to make a decent sound, and rehearsed three new pieces, which will be added to this term’s programme. As expected, there were some rough edges, but that only goes to show that the players had all enjoyed a good long break in what has to be said, was untypical Scottish sunshine!
We welcomed two new members, while saying “au revoir” to two other long-standing members, who between them have clocked up some 47 years’ service to the band. We’re calling it an “au revoir”, as we are fairly sure they will be back to help us out for a concert or two throughout the year.
So now we’re up and running, we will set about putting together our usual superb programme fo music for our audiences to enjoy. You should really try to be amongst them at some point!
