Martin Thomson BA(Mus Perf)/WT
Martin received his musical education at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, and has been a highly-respected music teacher for over 30 years, winning a national education award in the process. He is in constant demand for his services as an instrumental coach and band trainer, and is comfortable in all genres from jazz to classical. He is a regular performer in theatres and concert halls around Central Scotland, and can be seen playing instruments as diverse as Tuba, Trombone, Bass Guitar, Keyboards and Drum-kit.
He is also a highly experienced Music Technology trainer and demonstrator, having designed and delivered in-person software training in local authorities, private schools and universities across Scotland and the UK, and delivered software demonstrations across the UK and Europe. He is also a Master Instructor in the music notation software Sibelius, and regularly delivers certification courses world-wide via Zoom.
When he gets a spare minute, Martin’s main hobby is photography.
